Felipe Aja Espil

Bio

Felipe Aja Espil began studying photography in The creative Photography School Andy Goldstein in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In 2010 makes a trip through Latin America together with two other photographers. Following the Andean cord from Argentina to Mexico, they gather material for a first publication. AM Challenge (2012).

Over the years 2012-2013-2014 he attends workshops with Julieta Escardó, in 2013 PHOTO DOC with Daniel Merle and 2014 with Romina Resuche, specialist in Family Album.

In 2014 applies and is selected to hold a seminar with Anders Petersen in Stockholm.

The Swedish artist has a great influence on him and leads him to deepen his essay on RUTH.

In 2015 his is selected to become part of Proyecto Imaginario, a program taught by professors of different visual arts that allowed him to mix photography with other disciplines.

He has done several group and solo exhibitions in Argentina and Chile. (2013 International Photography Festival of Valparaiso,Chile; 2013, Pavilion of Arts of the Catholic University Argentina, Arte x Arte Gallery,Buenos Aires etc.)

In 2013 he won the third prize in the Competion Advocate General, Secretary of Presidency, Argentina. Jurors: Adriana Lestido, Alfredo Srur.

In 2016 his portfolio is finalist in the Argentine Biennale of Documental Photography.

He was born and lives in Argentina.
